. . . . . Yeah, say what you will about El Paso's skyline (or lack their off), but hey, at least the city has a mountain backdrop. Also, I'll be the first to admit that I don't really know much about the city in general, let alone it's downtown area. If someone from EP can fill me in on what's goin' on in terms of construction or projects, feel free to post here.

Next Month: Arlington (..... YES, ARLINGTON. But there will be 5 different questions..... )

I stayed in Downtown El Paso a couple months ago on the way to Colorado.

The skyline is pretty small for it's population, but the downtown is fairly lively. There are dollar stores and Mexican gift shops all over the place.. in addition to several bars and cafes.

The mountains complement the skyline very well (as do the dense neighborhoods surrounding it)

They just opened a new court house that is pretty cool looking using copper plating. There is a revitalization effort going on downtown that Paul Foster is a big part of and there is also talks of building more condos/apts. but I wont beleive that until i see them complete. Overall it's slowly getting better downtown but is still way behind the other Texas cities.

I really like El Paso and I'm fond of west Texas, but its skyline really is underwhelming. Midland at a fraction of El Paso's size has a better looking skyline. The mountain backdrop is cool though, as well as th flag lit up on the building.

I rated El Paso's skyline as "average". As several people have already said, it just seems like it should have a larger skyline for a city of its size. The mountain backdrop is nice.

I rated it average. The mountain backdrop is beautiful. If it didn't have the mountains -- I would have rated it bad.

I'm not impressed with this skyline at all. It is bad. Seattle makes El Paso look like a joke in terms of skyline since both of these cities has similar urban population size.

You can't go by municipal boundaries. El Paso's metro area has about 750,000 population - Seattle's metro area is about 3,400,000.

With the mountain backdrop it is beautiful. That nighttime photo is amazing.
