Default Ft. Bliss Bound

Hello Everyone

We are a Military family moving to SA area this summer (2011). Can anyone tell me a good place to live (kid friendly) close to Bliss? We need to have a plan B in place in case on post housing in not available. I’m not interested in hearing any bashing on SA. I’ve read the good and bad hype…. frankly I’m the type of person that wants to be opened minded and make my conclusions on the City. I’m looking for current information on a good place to live and good school district. If you have suggestions for us can you please include the zip code?

Thank you very much (-:

Fort Bliss is not in SA (San Antonio). Do you have the wrong city or base?

Just surf the first five to ten pages of this forum. Your question gets asked very often. Some threads get more replies than others.

There is a "search" window at the top of each page which will bring up threads on the subject of "Ft. Bliss, Fort Bliss, etc." I think there are several threads that have "moving to Ft. Bliss" as the subject line.

plan on using your plan B. housing list is LONG. we've been on it since October (e-6) and i just got a call from them asking if we still wanted to stay on the list but that it really hasn't moved much. took us off of it, as we are happy where we're at, northeast el paso. unless you're pcsing from overseas, you should be on the list for over a year. you should also visit the fort bliss spouses fan page on facebook, LOTS of info!
