Does anyone know of any old school barbershops in El Paso? You know, the kind where you can actually get a shave with a straight razor and they wrap your face in a warm towel afterward?

I've been to all the barbershops that cater to military, and it's nothing more than a quick cut and maybe a slight shave with a disposable razor. So if you happen to know of any, preferably on the east side, please let me know.

At Gentleman's Republic in central El Paso they offer straight razor shaves with a warm towel besides haircuts by old school barbers. I've been there a few times and they do a good job.

Try the Eastside Barber Shop. It's on Lee Trevino near Montwood, behind the McDonalds and Starbucks..and take cash.

I have been told that the Barber Shop on Rushing (Myongs???) is great. Old school straight razor, towel wrap, and even a massage. (but no happy ending. Ok..that was bad. Sorry) ( yeah..bad)

How about Baldwin's Barber Shop on Wyoming? It is pretty old school. I knew T.D. Baldwin that started the place.
