Any crime handled by MPs does not show up on El Paso crime statistics.

Police departments are well know for cooking the books for crime statistics.

El Paos culture is really laid back back and family oriented. That has a lot do with El Paos being a safe city. In El Paso you can pretty much do your own thing and no one will really bother you. And about the Drug Cartels, yeah they dont really want to cross over, they will have to face the FBI, DEA, EPPD, Border Patrol, Customs, US Army and lastly a bunch of armed Texans. . El Paso cholo gangs usually just stay in their turf and when they do fight with other gangs they usually settle it old school style with a rumble or just one on one no gang shootings like in Cali or other places. Things are changing as the city grows tho
