Since Sunland Park NM is right across El Paso, I figure it would be better posting here than in the NM section.

Asides from being right on the Mexico border and having a Racetrack/Casino, most of us know nothing else about Sunland Park and nearby Santa Teresa.
There are vast areas that can be build on just over the ridge and top of the valley. What's the latest on attempts to bring water there?

Isn't Verde Corporation going to be developing that Mesa out by the Port of Entry?Seems like there are plans for about 2000 homes and light industrial type businesses. I haven't heard much lately so maybe I am off track here.

I remember reading about this plan a bit more recently than this article is dated, but this should give you a pretty good idea of what they have planed for that area:
