Yes -- it's too bad all that has to go.

I'm okay with changing El Paso -- but I'd prefer changing it back a couple decades. When it's all nothing but big city for miles and miles -- that's when I'll leave.

El Paso is worth living in -- but not when it's 2 hour daily commutes to work and back each way -- then I might as well have an ocean or some lakes nearby.

you know your from el paso, if you remember when they used to serve ice cream on the lil major league helmets at dudley field

you know your from el paso if you used to play "chinchi lagua"

you know your from el paso if you used to go & get goverment cheese at project bravo

you know your from el paso if you had to wait until "lincon tax" income tax time to go to the mall to get something really nice

you know your from el paso, if you ever went to the fiesta de las flores to see selena

you know your from el paso if you used to go to the river to party when it wasnt totally disgusting on 4th of july

you know your from el paso if you used to look forward too, "el dia de san juan" for months

you know your from el paso, if you buy a family car,"suburban" that can accomodate your family [wife & kids] and still have room for your mom & dad!

you know your from el paso, if your mom thinks "zavila" can cure any cut, scratch etc.etc.

you know your from el paso, when u go to grahams central station & see daughters & mothers partying together, & the mom still has "pegue"

you know your from el paso, when u see moms who in their eyes their "son" never does anything wrong, kid could murder somebody, and the mom will just say, "ooh its cuz mijo was tired, pobrecito"

you know your from el paso, when u see grandpas still that wear their "tandita" & have faded tattoos on their arms & knuckles & still carry a swithblade.
