Dr. Gardea and Nolan Richardson, and your father are not attending Bowie right now I'm sure.
Times have changed.

When kids can't meet the minimal scores in science and math, a school has a big problem even if 100% of the students are from Mexico. It's not acceptable to say that one ethnic group should be failing in such high numbers.

Ysleta and Soccoro ISD schools tend to be in better shape than El Paso ISD schools. As for the education it will solely be up to the student if they decide on taking Honor (AP or College Prep) vs. Regular.

Exactly. Don't let a school's rating determine anything for your children. Help them step up.

We moved here with a very shy 13 year old girl and a very active 10 year old boy ( with a lot of medical issues) and chose the SISD because of the location and the schools. My daughter in in all advanced classes and carries A-B grades and my son struggles. The schools have been great and my kids had no trouble making friends. We live in the 79938 area and homes are very nice as well as access to shopping is right down the street. We've been here around 18 months and so far so good.
