I saw their web site and I gotta say I am a bit skeptical about the whole "orb" thing. I can't tell if those are actual images of unexplained phenomena or just dust on the camera lens. I say the latter.

In response to your views about orbs, yes I agree on many orb sightings. Orbs are viewed by many people as paranormal activity when in fact they may be simple natural interference. There are just too many things in nature that can cause orbs to appear. There are though orbs that when seen cannot be confused with anything natural and are defined to be supernatural. Most orbs though in my opinion are natural.

Things have been made worse in recent years with the proliferation of digital cameras. The CCD's in modern cameras can create all sorts of image "artifacts" including "orbs".

Hi! I'm a former El Pasoan who was born, raised, & spent 29 years of my life there until I left in 2004. If memory serves, Halloween night 1993 KVIA 6 o'clock news aired a campy segment on area hauntings/folklore legends & it touched on the usual La Llorona/Plaza theater stories but it was largely devoted to the old Patterson House which is on Piedmont St. I remember them interviewing a man who's father had apparently worked for the Patterson's & the last thing I remembered them mentioning "a piece of human skull being found at the residence" (quite some time) after the family's disappearance. Also, I think (I could very well be wrong) I remember "Magic Mike" ( Mike Ramsey, well-known El Paso d.j. from KLAQ) being interviewed. During the 1970's some good friends of my parent's lived next door to the house & my mom said she always had eerie in their house which wasn't the Patterson house. Unfortunately, that's all I remember about the Patterson house. However, in the same vicinity was another house where some woman lived, who went mad & she evidently was affiliated w/a cult called "I AM." The house is known as the "I AM Sanctuary" & is haunted.

I would appreciate any information you can provide. Thank you.

its basically behind the first house you see to the right side of the campus near the basketball court, but notice there will be a sign that says drive at your own risk or something like that, meaning its private property so be careful, if u wana reach the poles though you go in through some small little path to th right side of the house and it leads to it, good luck finding it, just follow the other directions i gave u, oh and that house is owned by someone, its actually a pretty normal looking house

Hello El Paso,
Just wanted to say that I did in fact find 6 poles, and it is exactly where crazedripper14 mentioned. I did stop by during the day and read the inscriptions on it. It reads "toward the morn and rising sun" written by Hesiod, a Greek poet that lived during 700-800 B.C., and on the other side it reads "That I may live to see one more turn of this October sun" written by Ballard Coldwell who may be Judge Ballard Coldwell who happens to be related to Sen. Elliot Shapleigh. The slab of cement that the poles stand on resembles a compass with the North and South points on it, no East or West on it though. The place is quite spooky during the day, and can only imagine what it must be like at night. As for the apparitions, I have not conducted a full investigation of the site, we are working on obtaining permission. I am researching the engravings, and will let you know what our findings are. Thank you to those that turned us on to 6 poles, and helped us find it.
On a separate topic, if you are intereseted in joining PITT. you can e-mail me at txrattler76@yahoo.com.

Hey, wow, that's pretty cool. Thanks for that. Any pics you can post? On the map and from the directions given, I still can't tell where this would be as there are four houses "to the right" of the campus. Is it the one closest to the frontage road? Or the house closest to the campus? Not that I plan to go anytime soon as I'm a big chicken sh_t, but I might swing by when I'm bored and have some juevos.
