Hi grandma(Midnight Soul). About two or three moths ago, Eli and I went to Tia Sandra's house. JJ and I got bored so we started to play the game with the pencils. A few minutes later, the light to JJ's room went out. Then it turned back on. Lulu and Sara were both scared, so they used their HOLY WATER to rebless the house. Ihaven't played in a while, but we'll try again to what will happen. I am excited about the investigation on Easter!

Did any of you guys ever hear those infamous stories, of the devil in Juarez. Alot of people claim that he would always appear at some Juarez bars, their was an urban legend that people would always see him at this bar in Juarez called the M&M. One of my older uncles, always told us this story of an experience he had w/lucifer himself. He claims that one time he was at this old hole in the wall bar in the outskirts of j town, drinking away the pain, [bills, problems had stacked up] Apparently he was their sitting, moping, crying, when a handsome gentleman walked in the bar, and sat next to him. The man was wearing a 3 piece suit, kinda like a "penguin" tuxedo, he had a neatly groomed mustache, slick black hair, and perfectly shined black shoes. The man sat next to him and they talked for hours, apparently my uncle told him all his problems and the man just sat there and listened. My uncle said the man had a real peculiar stench, he said he smelled like "azufre", which ofcourse is sulphur. After talking for hours, the man told him, "go home to your wife and kids, stop wasting your life drinking at this bar" As he left the bar, my uncle turned and saw a big red pointy tail coming out through the back of the mans coat, my uncle also noticed the man had the devils hooves "chicken feet" After that, my unckle got his stuff together, to this day he swears that he had an encounter w/the devil, who knows?

[apparently alot of people had had encounters like this, my uncle is a mentiroso!!! [lol]

Smile Ghost Tours

Hi Guys, my name is Henry. My wife Veronica and I are directors of the Paso Del Norte Paranormal Society here in EP. Our website is Paso Del Norte Paranormal Society - Home.

We have ghost tours at Concordia and at the Magoffin Home every 1st and second if you'd like to join us...here's the info. Our next tour is this Saturday at Concordia.

Concordia Cemetrery Ghost Tour
1st Saturday of every month from 6-8pm
Held every first Saturday of the Month, this is a very unique walking tour. People have reported seeing a Lady in White by the Time Capsule, a Lady in Black by the center area, and many voices of children giggling. This is a two gour tour of the history of the cemetery and reports of the paranormal. Donations are accepted and the proceeds benefit the Concirdia Heritage Association for the preservation of the Texas Landmark. Recording devices are encouraged.

Magoffin Home / Evergreen Ghost Tour
2nd Saturday of the month
A tour during the day and a ghost hunt at night. This tour takes place at the Historic Magoffin Home and Evergreen Cemetery. You will get a history of the home, the Magoffins and how they affected El Paso in the 1800's. You'll hear stories of Rose White, a Lady in Blue and Uncle Charlie's rocking chair. Recording devices and flash photography are NOT allowed inside the home.

fter the tour, we'll head out to Evergreen Cemetery where we'll show you where The Magoffin's are buried, you'll hear stories of "Big Alice" a Utah Street Madam, a former president of Mexico, and a survivor of the Titanic. Children have been reported to be seen hitchhiking and running thru the train tracks. Recording devices are encouranged for the Evergreen Ghost Tour.

Call us at 915-860-1905 or email us at ghosts915@sbcglobal.net

Hi LEVOW, don't recall "devil" stories pertaining soley to Juarez, but I do remember quite a few. A talking baby found by 2 drunk compadres, a lady with the head of a horse (also involving 2 drunk men), young girl found clawed to death after attending a dance w/o permission. All urban legends geared to scare kids into not doing certain things, and it sometimes worked.
My grandmother used to live in the Arroyo Colorado area in Juarez. I remember as an adult, hearing my aunts tell of a particular event that occured to them on a rainy night. My grandmothers house had one window facing the street. The window's sill was set at about sitting height from the street, there were 2 steps to get down into the living room, the street was not paved at the time. Two of my aunts were in the living room, one was ironing, the other was just sitting there and they were talking.
At some point one of my aunts looked toward the window and saw a lady in white sitting on the sill outside. She went to tell my grandmother who was in the kitchen, she sent another of my aunts to tell the lady to come in and wait for the rain to let up. My aunt went out to the patio to open the sajuan, only to come back and say there was no one there. She went to the living room to ask her sisters why they didn't tell her the lady had left so she wouldn't have gone out and gotten wet.
They looked at the window and they all saw the figure still there, so one of my other aunt's said, "I'll go this time, you might get sick". She comes back in and tells them the lady is gone, as they all look toward the window, the figure is still there!
They all go to my grandmother and tell her what's going on, she tells them to say a prayer and not go back into the living room.
I was an adult when I heard this story. My aunt said the lady was dressed in white and had long lose darl hair. She said that the following day my grandmother said it had been La Llorona, because late that night she had awoken and heard the infamous scream. She said it made her shiver, yet she also felt sad.
Just thought I share this with you folks. I have plenty, both real experiences, weird and unexplained....

Yep, guess we all heard these sorts of stories. I believe my mom also recounted a "llorona" story of her own. I wonder what ever happened to her? Did she ever find her children, lol?

Around our area (Sunland Park) there has always been a story of a "headless" man appearing around the area of the Sheriffs Posey. One night while we were on our way home from somewhere in El Paso, I noticed a figure walking toward us. As we got closer I noticed it didn't have a head! I turned to my husband a little scared, mostly excited and said, "It doesn't have a head!" It was a very cold night and just as I was about to roll down the window to get a better look, the head lights finally did their job and we were able to see it. It was a young man with a heavy coat with the collar up, a beanie down over most of his face, with his shoulders up, head down. This was our "headless" man for the night, a guy protecting himself from the cold, with basically only a small portion of his face showing, lol!

We had ourselves going too! That stretch from Anapra to what was then Meadow Vista (Sunland Park now) was very dark. They have street lights now, not so back then, so you can imagine...

On another occasion (this comes straight from the horses fingers ), again, on our back from an evening in El Paso, probably Chico's. My husband and I were in the front seat with one of our kids dozing in between us, the others were in the back seat. As we approached the Sheriff's Posey we saw someone walking.

At this point in time, the road was as it was in the final scenes in The Getaway (1972 version), not a four line highway as it is now. There were no curbs or anything, just pavement on dessert and no street lights. My mom used to say it was like "la boca de lobo", mouth of a wolf . Don't think she was ever in a wolve's mouth but, she always used that term.

This thing we saw walking was probably nearing the end of the horse corall. Directly across the Sheriff's Posey is San Marin de Porres Church. As we got closer and the head lights hit the figure, I saw it's face. I didn't say anything right away but, a few seconds later asked my husband if he had seen it's face. He said, "It was ugly", I said, "Yeah, it was ugly". Some of the kids in the back started, "Who's ugly, What was ugly", etc...
We told them and of course they wanted to see it too. My husband made a U turn at the church and we drove back. This figure was maybe 150-200 feet from where we turned, yet we drove all the way back to what is now City Hall (less than 1/2 mile) and saw no one!

I call it a thing, because to this day we have no idea what we saw and cannot explain where it went. It looked substantial, not transparent, however the face was hideous, like something out of a horror movie. I guess the best way I can describe it, is from the movie Fun House. Big head, face with large bumps all over with scaring like burns.

I have lived in Sunland Park for 42 years, have never known of a resident that fits what we saw that night. My husband is a life long resident, he is going on 60 this year and knew all the old timers back then, he also never heard of anyone that might have had an illness or affliction of any kind that would explain what we saw.

To this day we sometimes remember and recount our encounter. It remains a mystery to us, the grandkids ask, "What was it?", the answer will always be, "We don't know". True story, if anyone has had anything like this happen, would love to hear from you.
