Cattlemans in fabens is a treat. My favorite Restaurant for Steak, and I'm willing to bet the steak has no equal for thousands of miles.

I'll have to go after the move. That is memorial day weekend. The el paso airport is a breeze minus dollar rental car giving me a car with .75 tank then charging me 41 dollars for returning it with. 75 a tank. I called and they say it is my responsibility to report if I get a car with less than a full tank. The employee told me that was obvious to anyone. No what is obvious is that you bring it back the way it was given to you. 41 dollars for 6 dollars of gas. What a scam, I'll fight and win with amex. No worries but way to send me off with a bad taste about the way business is done in el paso. Luckily I had 9 good days before that.

I always found the State Line on Sunland Park Dr. to be just as good as Cattleman's. Plus there is a Great American Land and Cattle Co. on Alabama that has the same menu.

Dollar car Rental. That's their companies policy not El Paso's fault. I used a car to get to my Hotel in Dallas from budget. It was like four miles away and then the hospital where I did some work was like another 5 miles away. I drove back to the airport like ten miles, the car still said full so I did not put any gas in it. I get billed like 25 dollars!

Lesson Learned, just fill the car up it's cheaper.

I ate at the one on Gateway once, it was pretty awful. I expected a place like that to serve fresh burgers but what I go instead was a frozen patty. I think Fuddruckers was better.

New place I tried a couple days ago is Kiki's over on Piedras, it was pretty good, about the same as L&J.

Also got some tamales from Guessies on Piedras.

The Great American Land & Cattle Steakburger on Mesa Hills and Chromo has the best green chile cheeseburger ever.

Anyone know where you can get a good gyro at?

There's a place on Fort Bliss at Freedom Crossing but it's not practical for me to drive there just for a gyro.
