Has any one out there ever heard of this controversial teen rehab that was in EP in the late 1980s?

Default KIDS of El Paso

Yes, indeed. There was a very controversial adolescent drug rehabilitation facility located on Boeing Street from 1986-1989 that was featured in the El Paso news daily, both in the El Paso Times and the Herald Post, for allegations of false imprisonment, coercion, and brainwashing.

The program is now considered to have been a cult by some of the leading experts in the field of cultic studies. I am just curious to learn if there is anyone here that remembers this program from news stories or knew of anyone that was involved.

Default Levow and Muhnay

Thanks for the link, LEVOW. That is a website I started in 2001. At the present time, it's going through a major overhaul and I have been updating things for quite a while. Most pages aren't accessable to the public currently as they are still under construction.

Muhnay, you may have known someone that was in there as well. You once mentioned dating a sibling of someone that is now deceased in northeast EP. That deceased individual (D.W.) had a best friend that was in the program. PM me and I'll share the details.
