I know, the points made in the article about El Paso are odd but nevertheless El Paso is on the list. I always tell people how El Paso might have the best weather in the US. Now, I figure it might be in the world!

If not for the dust storms, I'd agree. That is the one thing that takes El Paso down a notch.

Yes, the article says "perfect weather" but I don't think there is a place like that anywhere. I am sure all places must have windy, stormy days e.t.c during the year so they can't be "perfect". That said El Paso's comes close in my book.

I just got back from a road trip out to Los Angeles then Seattle and back. There's no place like home though it feels like it's been hot the past few days?

The dust storms aren't too bad here. Then again, I've been through sand storms in the middle east so a little dust doesn't bother me. The dust storms seem much worse in southern NM, though.

I lived in ABQ 21 years before El Paso, and some claim it has the best climate. I think it's a tie between EP and ABQ...EP has a bad urban heat island and very warm nights that only Phoenix and Las Vegas combine to be worse in the SW. And ABQ often has a steady 2 month winter, where it's usually chilly though rarely cold below 20F...yet plenty of summer.

I actually enjoy working out in the summers here. I get most of my bike riding in during the hours between 1-5 pm when it is really hot outside. The trails are pretty much deserted and I get more sweating in. Also enjoy playing basketball in the hotter weather. To me, when you work out in weather like that, it really tests your conditioning.
