What is your favorite month in El Paso?
OK, now for El Paso -
El Pasoans (and, those like me, wanne be El Pasoans) - what is your favorite month of the year in El Paso...and WHY?
If you vote in this poll, please take a moment or 10 and also post a reply as to WHY the month you voted for is your favorite month. I would be curious to hear. I started a similar thread in Albuquerque's forum and gave my input, and I would love to hear El Paso's replies for EP!

I voted for May.
I have admittedly been to El Paso only in these months: January, February, April, May, June, July, August, September, and December.
Thus, I have not been to EP in the months of March, October, or November.
I voted for May because it is typically the first intense blast of the hot and dry of the summer. But it isn't the 100+ degree heat generally quite yet. I have experienced many May days in El Paso where the high ranged from 94 to 98 degrees. Great for sitting by a pool or near a palm tree, catching some intense West Texas sun, and drinking a cold Tecate or two with some lime. The nights cool still off quite nicely and are just about perfect temps-wise, great for catching a great sunset and sitting out talking with family.
My 2nd choice would be December, as it is relatively sunny and mild during the days compared to much / most of the US and cool and crisp in the evenings where an inch of snow isn't terribly out of the question. Great swing of temps, but still very mild outdoor possibilities around Christmas / NY that are not available to do in much of the colder US.

June for me. It's after the windy season. It's when the summer is reaching it's peak and before the monsoon season that brings humidity and mosquitoes. The days are long, the sun is intense, if you walk outside at 12pm to 2pm, you get the full blast of the sun's energy. The evenings and nights are wonderful. As beautiful as fall days and nights are, the nights are too chilly and you know summer is about to come to an end.

Well for El Paso i voted May even though i voted August in the Albuquerque poll. Why may?? Well May in El Paso is so nice seeing everything bloom and the trees sprouting their leaves which is like an Oasis.
Secondly May in EP is hotter than May in ABQ as it can still be nippy up here in the mornings then but in El Paso it's getting in the 90's along with it's dry heat which is great. If i ever live in El Paso and buy a house (wishful thinking...) i'd definately have a Swimming Pool

I like November. The heat is finally over for good and the weather is very comfortable, with the holidays right around the corner.

I would say september. It's still pretty hot, but the nights are cooling off. Basically still feels like summer , but less intense. I also really like the monsoon season of july/august, because the smell of the desert after a rainstorm is amazing.

I said December because Christmas in El Paso sounds like fun, with no possibility of ice storms to ruin everything.
