You know through the years here on the El Paso forum, we've had our shares of bickering, disagreements, and just hugely different views towards El Paso and takes on El Paso. Some people here love El Paso vigorously, some despise it, and others are in the middle. El Paso if, if nothing else, is a polarizing US city.
At any event, one thing that I am proud of is that like the city of itself being a big city with a large contingency towards Fort Bliss, regular forum members through there years have been overwhelmingly supportive and upbeat about supporting Fort Bliss, and more specifically, the soldiers stationed in El Paso at FB and their spouses families. The men and women and their spouses / families that come into Fort Bliss in high numbers obviously are the greatest among us. We as citizens of the United States owe these folks a high debt of gratitude and eternal amounts of praise. I know that probably a big quantity of our forum "browsers" for the El Paso forum (eg: those that don't post but read these threads for information...and there are alot of them) are likely soldiers and/or wives/husbands of soldiers coming into Fort Bliss. Many of these other folks become posters here. I think with El Paso being such a critical military town with such a strong base of our troops, I would invite others here to pitch in and give sentiments / thanks, welcomes, etc., to the men and women of uniform at Fort Bliss. Whatever "side of the aisle" your political leanings stand on is up to you, however, any patriotic American supports our troops vigorously through any aspects of life and knows what heroes they are. I know personally I thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart. |

I concur, this was a great idea. Do you know we are having a Soldiers Parade. Come out and show your support, and thank a Service Person face to face.
