I liked the Yo-Yo and the Bumper cars.. But I also loved the tram. I was never much of a roller coaster kinda guy.. The Himalaya was also a crowd pleaser, my sister loved that one. The Log ride was also lots of fun, its one of the rides he should of taken to his new park.

The New Western Playland is a joke.. I have seen visiting carnivals that are bigger and have more to offer than they do. I hope he gets something going there soon.

it is a joke, they need to plant some palm trees or some more mature trees out there, to give the people some shade. I always WAS pretty satisfied w/western playland when it was here in El Paso, like i mentioned before, i wonder what theyre going to do with the "Snake Mountain water ride, thats still in the park...They have alot of land to expand the park now, hopefully Pat, can get a nice sized roller coaster out there...

They are building a new one called the Tsunami ( Western Playland Amusement Park | Sunland Park, New Mexico )

I agree more trees, and shade. Also need more rides, and games, and heck some sort of atmosphere, like an old western town, like Magic Landing had, with a main street and some other stuff.

My favorite was a toss up between the Himalaya and the Tsunami.

They could do a lot at that new place since it's near the river, near the casino and race track. The old western town would be good because it's right in the area you could suspect that old Marty Robbins song would have been about. Maybe they could add kid's pony and donkey rides.

You know that slide you have in the picture used to be located at Northgate mall in the N.E. in the 1960's. I have to locate that picture I have of the slide located in the parking lot.

I guess mine would be the Himalaya. I can't remember where the log ride was located in the old park. Someone refresh my memory. I liked the
Screwdriver (?). Ah..memories. Good times at WP
