Good to see the hometown schools advance to the ''Sweet 16'' against the other Texas area schools in Baseball Playoffs.

Socorro (33-2) which is #12 in the nation (USA Today Rankings) sweeped Mansfield Summit out of the Dallas Metroplex.

Thats why im glad their so many lil league teams in El Paso by the time the kids get to high school, they already have 8 to 9 yrs playing, that helps the kids out in the longrun. Now........if we could get more kids in football at an earlier age, then we could start competing, with the Odessa Permians, Midland Lees, nevertheless, congrats to the Mighty Bulldogs and Indians, hopefully one of them can bring a state baseball championship to the Sun City!!!!
