I've noticed they have almost completely torn down the old Howard Johnson Inn. Any Chance they will begin to tear down the old Farah Building too?

Some good news for those (including me) who want to see the construction of the new shopping mall proposed for the abandoned Farah building. Here's the link to the article.

Passed by where the old Howard Johnson Inn was torn down and there is now a sign in front of the fence that has The Fountains as the title with a subtitle Coming 2011. So its looking good so far for this major project to happen.

Sunland Park Mall is sad. The Macy's and Dillards are tiny and they will probably be closing soon. Heck, the Dillards stores at Cielo Vista are doing terrible. If Dillards cant make it in El Paso, then how will a high end store do? Nordstrom, Saks, Bloomingdales, Neimans, etc will not be opening shop any time soon. El Paso should get ahold of Lubbock's Malouf's since they're closing their California store.

I've noticed that their stock is pretty bad. If you supply bad product, expect to not have a lot of people shop there.

Retailers need to realize that El Pasoans want the same things that everyone else has.
