I DUB elpasojeff the POPE of Alpine.. he preaches about as if it is the promissed land.. =) heh heh

take a look at Alpine.. ( http://www.google.com/maps?q=Alpine,...i=map&ct=image )

Its small.. and isolated.. if thats what your looking for, then this is the perfect place.. I will admit they have some pretty mountains near by, and some of the old buildings there are awesome... great place to drive though maybe stay a night.. but live.. im not so sure.

LOL.. heh.. I guess so. I was a truck driver for a short period of time. I have been everywhere I think, or at leaste driven though it. Where the Army didn't send me trucking did. =)

Please tell me more about Alpine. I'm a remarried widow, and new hubby and I are looking for a smaller community to move to. We both still work but would love to "downgrade" to part-time employment. Could you talk more about terrific people and affordable housing?
