Hi, My husband and i will move to Ei Paso in the early of August.

We are a newly-wed couple, and my husband will be studying in the UTEP.

A flat is urgently needed right now, but we are totally fresh for Ei Paso

and our budget is limited. So i really hope anyone can give us ANY

suggestions for looking house or something others?

Thanks in advance.

There are a few apartments around campus. I dont know their rates though. I think UTEP has some housing too but I do not know what the qualifications are to live there. I think you cant rent some homes within a 5 mile radius of UTEP too. Hope that helps.

my wife and I are doing the same, there are many apartments surrounding campus within one bus ride/walking distance. As for student housing, its ~430 a month/person so its cheaper to rent an apartment.

Yes, the student housing is really not cheap. Can you give me any hints to find the apartments surrounding the campus? Or give me some website links which contains the house resource?

apartmentguide.com and apartmentfinder.com are decent. There are some really affordable places around the school, and even many houses that might be within your budget. Check craigslist too.

There are many places around UTEP and in the central part of the city. If you haven't, check Craig's List for inexpensive places not listed in the usual apartment guides.

Don't stay on campus. As others have said, it's too expensive.

There is a new home that is being rented by a former UTEP student. It is a 5 bedroom 3 bath home that he is willing to rent to students attending UTEP. It is located about 8 miles from UTEP and travel time is about 20 minutes. The owner is willing to rent out the house by the room to make it more affordable. you can contact Holder Real Estate at 915-833-8800 and ask for the Ojo de Agua property.

I live less than 2min away from UTEP (driving time of course, walking give or take 10min) in a studio in the Sunset Heights area and I only pay $310. I recently looked into getting a two bedroom and was shown one for $400. Hope this helps!
