I was wondering how do I give 3 rep points over 1 rep point? I noticed that sometimes I get 3 and sometimes I get 1.

I also noticed that some people have stars or other things above the bar.. how are those gained?

Hi Muhnay,
The reps that you get are a direct result of the reputation of the individual giving those reps. For example, if I give someone a positive rep, it usually is worth 4 points. If someone rating your post as positive has a higher reputation, it may be worth 5, 6, or even more points.

It also depends on the forum. For example, in the religious, politics, and other forums, reps are only worth 1 point.

I've also noticed (and don't understand why), that certain people can only receive 1 reputation point, no matter where the forum. I've never understood this.

As for the stars above the bar, when you get to around 1800 reputation points (I think) that is when you get a star above the bar.

I hope this helps.
