Yeah, I remember that, but it was another restaurant before the Iron Tender. Happen to remember what it was called?

It was an Iron Tendor for years, but Billy Crews Steakhouse, or the Golden Cantor, or Golden Lantern rings a bell.

Six hours is quite impressive. Its about 715 miles from EP to San Diego. 119 mph will probably get you ticketed on I-10 and I-8. Maybe you were thinking of another destination.

According to linxtop it's 730. Yes, I've acquired a few speeding tickets in the process. No, I wasn't going 119 mph, it was more like 80. Ok, 7 1/2 hours.

Lightbulb Chico's on McCrae

I heard that location is/was shutdown because the lease was not renewed. Before Chico's opened there, does anyone recall what was there before?

It was a restaurant called Burger Chef. I recall going in there as a kid to ask for water (didn't have a penny in my pocket), they cooked your burger, but they had all the condiments outside and you pretty much built your own burger, hence 'Burger Chef'!

Ha! Thanks El Borracho. I never thought of looking it up since I recall it clearly. Can you see the "Chicos" in that building? Chicos extended the dining area as you can tell.

More useless trivia, the dining room was expanded twice at that McCrae location. They expanded it a bit when they first opened, the a few years later, extended to what it is/was now.

Have they closed it?

Default Anyone remember the Bronco? How about the North Loop?

Imagine, five or six years old, parents let us out to play at night on the swings while they were several hundred feet away, out of sight. Unimaginable these days.

What is in those places now?
