What makes for "el paso style" dive bar? I would say there are many many dive bars in all parts of town. If I was going to try to hit a bunch of them, I'd just drive down all the main streets and stop in and check them out.

You could go down Doniphan and then Mesa and get the west side dive bars, then onto Montana and get in quite a few more. Dyer and Alameda have plenty of dive bars also. That way you could hit dive bars in every part of town.

Wionder if that Korean bar still exist in Northeast as back in High Scool in the early 80's as my friends and I would sneak in as back then it was 18 to drink (we didn't drink just shot pool) as i think it was called ''The Flame'' where they had Korean topless dancers and the girls working there would want you to buy then Coka Cola as the place made money off you buying the super expensive sodas and besides the girls didn't drink alchohol. They would say to the mostly Army GI's in there like.... ''I love you Joe no Bulls.hit, buy me coke'' .....as me and my high school pals would laugh.

Wish i was 17 again .

I had dreams as a kid of buying that building and turning it back into a Car hop burger joint, with the roller skate waitresses, and the whole nine. Too bad its gone now.
