There is still life in the ol'girl yet. She came up to visit us El Pasoans and wiggle her giant but gentle rain storms on us. I like Dolly she is a good ol'girl trying to wash and clean the whole Boarder Region.

I was watching the weather channel, and she has sorta stalled and parked on top of El Paso.. Maybe the mountain range has helped in that. No problem even with the minor flooding, El Paso needs the wet stuff.

They just said that El Paso has had over 4 inches of rain in parts. Were under a flood warning. Should I run out there and film a YOUTUBE spoof on the Brownsville news? heh heh.

UPDATE: Socorro People go to higher ground.. your levee has broke. The Rio Grande is over flowing in many spots. West side is getting the worst part of this storm. Stay Safe El Pasoans.

Another once in a 100 years rain? The kind of rain houses recently built here weren't expected to withstand?

I was watching the video replay on KFox..they were at Resler and Redd.

Quite obvious whoever is designing the roadbeds............should be fired.

You can't build flat roadways.. they need to be crowned to allow the water to run off....into culverts... which lead into storm drains.

Road engineering 101.

You know.. it was never that bad.. it was just up to the side walks once, and then the street filled a few times, but it never got as bad as it has. I had sand bags piled high too just waiting for it.. guess it knew I was ready and decided to flood west and far east El Paso instead.

It has been so nice here the last few days that it almost seems like home.

You can always tell when a southerner is writing on the weather. When it gets humid and steamy, they get quite happy.
