I noticed that El Paso is staying around 30% humid on average now. Where we used to be 19% or lower.. so I was commenting more on the climate change.

After living in Mississippi, and now here, I would have to agree that the claim is rather silly.. I would love to know how they came to that conclusion as well.

As for Texas, I've been to Houston on a 90/90 day (90+ degrees, 90+ humidity), and it was not fun.
The other way you can look at it, you sweat when it's hot, to rid your body of excess heat. When it's humid though, the sweat doesn't evaporate and clings and drips off you but here it works efficiently since it's dry and you don't feel all that warm and you aren't dripping. If you go outside and are active, you know it's sweaty because you're caked with salt.

If they go by temperature, El Paso could be up there toward the top but we have a dry sweat except for those who sit indoors with the air conditioner on high.

I found the post interesting, thanks for sharing, Muhnay!
At times El Paso ranks up there with the most sensitive cities.

I can't see how being ranked high for sweat could be bad anyhow because I'd much rather be sweating than shivering.

Yeah i've been to Houston plenty of times and one time i got dehydrated and didn't realize it because my body was still wet from sweat lol! So and city on the coast or in the deep south would seem to be the sweatiest in my opinion. Oh yeah, and some people on this board need to stop being sensitive little sissies, you make the rest of us look bad! Good post Muhnay.

Austin Texas has to be at the top of the list. I was sweating big time today. Was outside most of the day. Absolutely miserable!!!

Over a 100 degrees with near 95 % humidity. I thought I was gonna pass out at one point.

No way El Paso can even be near the top of the list. How about those cities along the Mississippi. St Louis, Memphis, absolutely brutal heat/humidity combo in the summer.

Default What City IS The Sweatiest??

At the moment??

Dallas. We got up to 107 and it was one big scorcher today.

Now, for my serious answer, it is always all the cities nearest the Gulf Coast, but since you only need one, I'd have to pick Houston.

Dallas at 107 would be unbearable.

In El Paso it's a relief to walk from an air-conditioned building into the outdoors but I've been to Oklahoma and Dallas in the summer and you can hardly bring yourself to go outdoors.

El Paso is always taking it in the nose--"Hell Paso," sweatiest, least literate, etc., etc., etc. I guess it must be kind of like being from Detroit, Cleveland or Newark.

I just checked the forecast for this week where I live and then checked El Paso. It's a LOT nicer in El Paso this week is all I have to say!
