This is a good deveopment in general. Now people who come to this forum to inquire about "nice" areas can be directed to Google Street to see if their area of interest is listed, and if so, they can look it up make up their own minds than to have to ponder and weigh the pros and cons alone offered in this forum, site unseen.

Ha! Thanks. I took it from a Chris Rock HBO special, one of the first ones, the one where he talks about ATMs and such. He talks about his white friends who say they'll come out and support him, and ask where they can buy tickets, etc. He then compares that to his personal friends, and what he gets from them is 'Hey, can you hook a brother up?!'. You have to watch it to get the humor!

I noticed a big chunk between Hawkins and Yarbrough north and south of I-10 that is missing.... bad neighborhoods, or did they not make it there... I wonder.

For those of you who have been away as I have, and have "cruised" down some of the streets, how have things changed, and to what degree, for better, or worse?
I've seen some not so nice roads. I am having a hard time trying to come to terms as to whether some things have decayed, or if things were just the same when I was growing up and perhaps I was just not fully aware, and am now comparing to what I am accustomed to now. I left in 1980.
But the prevous poster was right, it is burning a lot of my time just 'virtual cruising' down some of those roads! I think I'll play Ted Nugent's Sranglehold and relive the 'days'.
