WOW!! Muhnay which magazines are you subscribing to! I didn't know the Minutemen had their own magazine!
The First I told you was Travel & Leisure Magazine, and the other was Texas Travel.

What does either of my commits have to do with the minutemen? You trying to disenchant everyone into a war of words on racial issues?

Yeah some of those statements are true about El Paso lol! However, i think the reason a lot of people don't come to El Paso is because E-Town doesn't have any real attractions. Military folks know about it, but outside of that nobody really has a reason to come to El Paso. I have all kinds of family in East Texas( Houston area) but not one outside of my immediate family in El Paso. People in East Texas drive to other states all the time, if they had a reason to come to El Paso then they would. With that said, i'm done.

As far as a lot of people moving here, I think El Paso is plenty big as it is. Where would we put them all?

El Paso itself really doesn't have all that much to attract visitors, not as far as things to do anyhow. Hiking on the Franklin is great but mostly El Paso is a nice central place to take many side trips -- Carlsbad Caverns, Hueco Tanks, Old Mesilla, Silver City, Cloudcroft. At one time Juarez but that's off for now.

Even though the terrain and climate make for nice living, people aren't going to drive a thousand miles for it. We don't have the beaches that other places have, there's nice enough hiking in Franklin State Park but not great enough to have people coming back over and over. We didn't keep up our historic part of town so that's out, we don't have an Alamo. We're not some cool artistic town like Santa Fe where all the houses look the same.

You can kind of tell when someone comes on here and says they are planning a visit from some far off place and want to know what kind of things to plan -- we don't have all that much to suggest -- although that's true of most cities and towns, the San Antonios and Fort Lauderdales are the exceptions.

I would love to know what true colors, your talking about. I am being honest, I am giving my input and opinion.

I have said countless times.. El Paso is not my ideal place. But it will always be my home.. I grew up here... I know it like the back of my hand. I think the problem you have with what I am saying is the fact the truth hurts... El Paso does have great weather, if you like hot, dry, arid landscapes.

I would love to see El Paso become more than she is now. I would love Miner72 to be right.. I want El Paso to be that place I would want to move too, instead of run away from. I really would.

It already is, just needs to promote it better. There is no city that gives us competition in that area.
