So, after last night, are you still down with Mike Price Stadium? This was the University of Buffalo, might as well have been the Buffalo Bills last night. I know UTEP was a three point underdog but they were beaten up and down. And like last year, they made the opposing RB look like Tony Dorsett, Emmitt Smith, and Billy Sims all wrapped in one. Looked like same old, same old. And now that other teams will have film of the 3-3-5, are they quaking in their cleats??? Hope Mike brigns t.his together

I doubt at this point a statue (sarcastic or not) is even a talking point. If we were not playing UT and NSMU at home, I don't think there would be any buzz about this season at all. I think that there is no fair weather fan stuff going on, but the deity status could be revoked if Mike somehow does not pull this program out of the fire at the end of this season. I hope last night's result is not the compass for the season or we'd better call Search and Rescue now.

Default 3-3-5

Do you think that will be this season's record? Or is this too optimistic?

Utep should have never left the wac, atleast there, we knew we could guarantee TO WIN atleast 3 games, i think they might have a chance to win atmost 2 games this year, maybe nmsu and maybe, just maybe against ul lafayette.

I don't know, b/c the WAC seems tougher...afterall, who has crashed the BCS the past two years, and even won one game? And I believe even two years ago the WAC lost only one of the four bowl games they played in where CUSA was the opposite. Folks out there may say WAC schools feed on themselves to puff thir W/L records but this does not over come the fact. CUSA hasn't even come close to BCS.

I think the regional aspects of UTEP staying w/the WAC would have been better, b/c as some have said, do southwest fans give a rat's a about east coast teams, especially one's that aren't major? CUSA has done well for one school...Memphis in MBB. But even the WAC is sending more than one team to the NCAA tourney, more than you can say about CUSA.

Oh...do you thank NSMU is loving the new UTEP defense? With Holbrook and Williams healthy they can eat up the Miner secondary, just like last year in LC. Let's hope not or this will be a long season potentially starting 0-3.

There is no doubt that the Top of the WAC is much better then the Top of Conference USA.

Default E Carolina

East Carolina did impress this weekend against Va Tech. And UTEP plays EC at the end of the season. But Fresno took it to Rutgers...maybe a WAC/CUSA showdown would be fun in the bowl season. Probably not possible due to bowl obligations, but maybe as a preseason in the future,

WAC is more top heavy, boise, hawaii and fresno are really good teams, that could possibly fair well in the pac 10, but theyre bottom teams are pretty weak.

lets see:
Houston vs Boise st winner Houston
Tulsa vs Fresno St Winner Fresno st
Southern Miss vs Hawaii Winner Southern Miss
Ucf vs Lousiana Tech Winner upset Lousiana Tech
ECU vs Utah St Winner ECU
Uab vs Nevada Winner UAB
Marshall vs Idaho Winner Marshall
Tulane vs San Jose ST Winner Tulane
UTEP VS new mexico st winner utep

So Overall I think cusa is a better conference, but then again thats just my opinion.
