OK OK, This is just a thought, but considering that Mike Price basically put UTEP on the college football map. Do you think that if he can have a couple of winning seasons, or atleast a conference title or 2, it would be fitting to name the Sun Bowl after him? I know he would have to build up a resume of winning, before considering such an honor, but to be honest, utep was really bad for a long long time, i think the poor man deserves some sort of recognition.

He has helped the program a lot but I think the entire stadium after him is too much IMO.

I agree w/ FakeGuy. How long did it take to rename the Special Events Center to the "Don Haskins"? And oh what did 'ol Don do again during his time here at UTEP/TW?? Oh that's right win the big one some 40+ years ago.

So I think Price has another 30-35 yrs to go before we can talk about renaming. Plus we've got the Sun Bowl game named after the staidum too so that old tradition is kind of important.

I say we just give him a parking spot. It should be aptly labled: COACH

No....i couldn't go for that. The ''Sun Bowl'' is the second oldest Bowl in the USA. People on the east coast know of the Sun Bowl but few would know where the ''Mike Price'' stadium is.

Where is the ALLTEL stadium....most don't know. But ask where's the Gator Bowl most know it's in Florida (Jacksonville).

I've been expecting this since the day they hired him. To be fair he's lasted longer than I thought.

That is true, Sun Bowl is better known. Is it still even called Alltel Stadium or did Jacksonville change it already?

Maybe we could get Costco as a coporate sponsor as well...Price/Costco Stadium. Nice ring to it.

How about a Chico's Tacos sponsorship? With a gigantic rolled taco creating a tunnel from the locker room onto the playing field. At the beginning of every game the players could make their glorious run thru the taco and onto the field.

I think it's now called the Jacksonville Municipal Stadium as Alltel is no longer the sponsor. I wish they kept it the Gator Bowl but the NFL didn't want that ......
