Default 62 Stores for New Outlet Mall

Its being reported that 62 national brand stores have signed leases for the new 70 million Factory Outlet Mall under construction on El Paso's west side at Interstate-10 and Transmountain Rd. It will be 385,000 sq ft and will feature such names as Banana Republic, Brookes Bros, Tommy Hilfiger, Nike, Calvin Klein and Gap are just a few. If Successful then will start a phase II and expand to 80 to 90 stores total.

This sounds great! Do you know when they will start hiring for any positions and or when it is suppose to open?

The scheduled date for it to open is on October 11, 2007, well, thats according to their website. It is expected to create over 800 new jobs. Since the grand opening is less than 3 months away, I would expect them to start hiring any day now. Probably many announcements will be popping up on the news, newspapers, and probably their website about the new job opportunities there.

Here is their website: The Outlet Shoppes At El Paso
It includes a list of the stores setting up shop there.

This will be good for canutillo (the neighborhood/town adjacent to the mall), but I can imagine the increase in traffic this will cause.. More development to come, me thinks.
