Rickys is nice field with some trees. I am not sure what your asking when you ask Prize Range. Oh it stings.. and will leave small welts/bruises where your hit.. and I think you have to be at least 13 to play.

the first time I played I got hit in the temple and it drew blood so I wouldn't recommend it for a 6-10 year old ,however they could just target pratice

My school took my senior class last year to Ricky's. It was the first time i ever paintballed. It's a lot of fun. I wouldn't recommend paintball for a 10 year old though, You will get welts if u were hit. I drew blood when i got hit in the abdomen and leg (i also didnt have a shirt on lol) but even if you had somewhat thick clothing, you will get bruised and it will sting, so i think you should hold it off for at least another 3 years.

I don't know about Ricky's but paintball for boys is fun, it's supposed to hurt or it would take the fun out of it I think but make sure where you take a young kid monitors the CO2 pressure and makes sure they have the right protection. 6 might be too young but at least some fields allow age 10 I'm quite sure.

I prefer to go to Winkeydoodles Paintball they have more fields, better prices and the people who play there range from beginners to pros. You do have to be at least 10 to play. I always have a great time, WinkeyDoodles Paintball Adventures

My son is 15 and has been paintballing for a couple of years.
Definitely make sure you get your son a helmet. Head hits are not at all funny and can be quite dangerous. You probably need to get out there and see what kinds of safety gear they have and the equipment they use. Paintballs hurt a lot when you are hit, so he should wear protective gear at 10 years old.
FYI--you may want to join your son and see how he does. I love watching my son and his friends play, but it can be aggressive. I am better at laser tag.

I believe its $40 for equipment rental - gun, jacket, and helmet. The paint balls is where they get you, I forget how much they run...maybe 500 for $25 (its been awhile since I've been)
