Hello! We are moving to El Paso the first weekend of November. We need a 2 (or 3!) bedroom apartment preferrably no more than 10 miles out. We don't want to spend more than $750 on rent. Any suggestions? We've looked into the Patriot Apartments and they look pretty nice.

Before I PCSd here with the kids, my hubby rented a really scary 1bedroom apartment off Viscount and I-10 for about $325 a month. If you are a single guy, then it should be ok. The kids and I had to stay there fpr 5 days while we awaited our household goods. Not great for a family, but it seemed safe enough.
There is an apartment complex on Alabama right across the street from WBAMC. I cannot remember the name, but a few of my hubby's soldiers live there. I can find out. I think the Patriot Place apartments are brand new. If they have ok rent, I would probably go for that.

We lived in the Patriot for three months in 2005 while we were between houses....1st house sold before we could find a second one. We chose the Patriot because they would give us a 3 month lease and we already lived in Northeast. Nice apartments, convenient location, safe area, and the maintenance staff stayed on top of things.

We did have an issue getting our deposit back, as they were changing management staff and it got lost in the shuffle. It took a month or so, but the issue was resolved.

Butterfield Apts off of Sun Valley and the Patriot freeway are pretty decent too.
