Thank you all for not posting National Political threads in our city forum. So many states have, and it just makes them look bad. I am glad to see we are smarter than that, and wanted to thank you all.

So how about them Diablos?

I'll second that.

It is OK to discuss your local political races here. I was tempted to start a thread about the race in the congressional district that El Paso shares with San Antonio, but I never got around to it.

Yeah i was soso surprised that Moody beat out Margo for the Texas Sate Rep (Northeast EP) but i guess Margo got swept up in the tide.

I wonder if Haggerty will run against Castro for NE City Rep.

Moody beat MARGO! no way! Goes to show you that people seem to leave there brains in a jar at home when they go vote.. that is so shocking to me.

If he doesn't I may.. I know the Haggerty's I may ask them to help me run. =)

I think Pat has been the State Rep since 1988 until he lost this year. Before that he was our City Rep for NE i believe going back into the late 1970's from what i remember back in High School.
