Chapin is also power in sports as not only the football team went 9-3 but the boys are preseason ranked #3 and the Girls are preseason #2 in basketball in the El Paso metro.
Lets hope Parkland gets a huge crowd up from El Paso as it's being played in between both schools at Odessa's Ratliff stadium on Saturday at noon.

Two area games today as El Paso Parkland goes up against traditional Texas power Stephenville who's been in the 4A title game or semi finals like 5 or 6 times in the late 90's to mid 2000's as this will really be a tough test for Parkland. Up the Road in Las Cruces at NMSU it's the New Mexico 5A Semi Final game Las Cruces High against Las Cruces Mayfield as they expect 30,000 people at the game.

Well Parkland loses 51-13 to Stephenville. Now it's basketball season where El Paso schools usually turn the tide on the permian schools.
