AHH now I know where it is.. I was wondering that.. thanks LEVOW. I heard that the man spent 250k refurbishing it, and ran out of money so he torched his own place to get the insurance money. Thats just rumor though.. no finger pointing from me.

Kudos to the fire crews that responded to the fire. El Paso has one of the finest aggressive fire departments in the country. Thankfully no one emergency workers were injured.

I was wondering about the reason too because this is the third restaurant in the area to have a fire of some sort in the last few months. They all were enough to close the places for a little bit but this fire was huge. It is about a mile from where I live and the building is totaled.

Default Shakedown?

Could it be that these are not coincidence? What if a criminal organization began to take place, a shoot off from the drug kingpins, that demanded a "little" payment to protect from such things as fires. Maybe the three establishments forgot to pay their "bill". Just a theory.

That's what I was thinking, and I don't doubt it...
