This was a nice article in the EP Times today about the EPI airport and all the changes, expansions and renovations to it since Pat Abeln has been the director since 1999 as it's too bad he's retiring now. Also like hearing about the new 1,500 acre resort and golf course planned on it's property and the 150 acre ''High Tech'' business park being created right now and will be ready next year.

I'm just hoping the economy hasn't slowed down Butterfield too much, but maybe not. But the airport will be in great shape going into the future. When the economy does improve and Fort Bliss gets lots of new neighbors, those things can only bode well for EPIA.

Hey case......what caught my eye is the park will be ''High Tech'' as El Paso needs one and up in albuquerque they have one called the Sandia Science Technology Park next to Kirtland AFB where it's pure high tech with industries like the Optics, Photovoltaics, Lasers, Nano tech, Solar etc... as these pay very well and i could only hope in xx number years that El Paso does well here also and not just albuquerque.
