I moved once but it was too cold, winters too long and dark so I came back. I don't like humidity, long winters, cold weather or flat areas.

Default Not Missing El Paso

Lived in El Paso for 7 long years and couldn't wait to get out! Finally was able to move to VA in June and we love it here! Sure, the weather and Mexican food is good in ELP but the people are just much nicer, courteous in VA, quality of life is great, many things to offer! I don't miss ELP at all! I'm glad we were able to move,,it was the longest 7 yrs. of my life!

Living in El Paso taught me a lot. For quite awhile before I moved, all I could think about was living in a location that had milder weather than the northeast. In spite of how much I hated snow, there really were more important things than just weather, because truthfully, there really is a lot more to do, and see living in the northeast.

Muhnay, we moved to Front Royal, a bit rural but we love it! The cost of houses are not that bad either (especially, of course, right now). The schools are great, and the people are just so courteous. Can't complain really,,,

It looks great. Really green, and not far from the State Capitol, and all that. Congrats on finding your spot.. wish you much luck and happiness there.

We've been here 1 1/2 yrs and will leave when our daughter finishes school. Probably Corpus Christi or San Angelo is where we will end up. I like El Paso and could live here forever but I got out voted. If El Paso had a large lake it would be prefect for me. I'll miss the food.

Someone posted on one of these threads that Corpus Christi is like El Paso with a beach. Is this because of cost of living, ethnic make-up, look of the city or what? I'm going to take a road trip and look at CC and several of the coastal communities as well as San Angelo and possibly Kerrville so if anyone is interested I'll post my impressions of the towns that I visit.

VA is beautiful, and the Blue Ridge and Ragged Mts are so pretty....but it's very humid...and very different. I enjoyed visiting there (Charlottesville)!
