Here's an idea they can do to re-open Mountain Shadow Lake.

Create a Renaissance Festival Type Theme Park with a Neo-Stongehenge and a Castle Looking type of Hotel. The Hotel can be a small one maybe two stories with about 200 to 300 rooms.

The Neo-Stonehenge can be a replica of Stonehenge in England as it looked when first built and aligned to today's stars, sun and moon.

Throw in some horse trails as well as horses to rent or even haywagons for fun.

The Neo-Stonehenge aspect alone could bring in as many visitors as the original in England if promoted correctly.

Put the right type of facilities at the Hotel and you can have Banquets, Weddings, Quinceñeras, and parties. All of which can be themed accordingly.

This would create a decent theme park which shouldn't cost too much to build and can bring in Tourists, etc., or maybe even as a resort type location.

If done properly it may even be usable as a movie set.

I think something like this could work there? How about you?

Forget all that just reopening the lake would fire up most El Pasoans as we need more water recreation out this way like back in the 80's when it was open.

If we could convince the widening of the Electric CO, NE facility lake into a larger lake and park.. it would be used far more than Mountain Shadow Lakes.
