Exactly my thought also danielone......as it looks beautuful and i especially like all the Palm Trees in the photo's as it gives the place a tropical feel.

Too bad there's so many cartel murders over there.

Juarez is constructing a lot of expressways and is on the 3rd face of a 5 face city outer loop that will completely encirlce the city and be a full fledge non stop freeway.

Looks a lot nicer than I imagined. I've never been there and now may never will. Maybe one day if all of this nonsense stops.

USMC EP .....you should also post these in the ''Mexico Forum'' here at City Data as they also have a photo thread and that i'm sure many of the posters over there from different parts of Mexico would be surprised to see Juarez.

Anyway reps (5) for you and chuco as always.

Wow. This isn't the Juarez I remember. I'd love to go over but I'm afraid I'd lose my head.

Wow! I didn't know it had changed so much. We use to go over in the late sixties and in the seventies and a lot has changed for sure. Cool pictures y'all, thanks for posting. BTW, anyone remember the club called The Cave?

It changed -- but isn't it ironic, back in those times, you could walk anywhere, go anywhere in Juarez and maybe there wasn't much glamour but it was sure a lot safer.

It only shows again how all that glitters isn't gold. I much prefer the old Juarez.
