Yeah i'd have them do another read on the meter as natural gas is not that high per therm. I run mine 24/7 as i hate winter and yet my highest gas bill has been 35 dollars this winter.

The reading does match the bill though. I'm going to have to keep daily readings and see what is happening now that I dont have any heat.

I'm still puzzled. If it's set to that ridiculous 55 temp I don't see how it ever turned on. I haven't used my heater in my apartment yet. You're getting screwed that's a fact. A furnace is a big factor in a gas bill and you're not using it.

It may match now but did they get the correct reading the month before (if it's like a electric meter)? If you're next months bill is lower you might want to complain and demand some money back for this months. Let them know you're on a fixed income and can't live with stupid people making stupid mistakes.

I completely agree. I only heard it come on maybe once or twice at night when the weather was really cold. But other than that?????? And to raise the bill that much?? I think something is off somewhere. I just really hope that my bill drops drastically next month. My kiddos and I are used to the cold and we have plenty of blankets. We'll push through this.

These last few days have been odd.. I have been wearing short sleeves and feeling fine.

Our heat has not come on at all.
