The thing thats tough, is that we seen glimpses of what were capable of, but im personally tired of being competetive, we need some [w's] plain and simple!

We are already in a restart situation with the Miner defense. We hired a new defense coordinator last season. It will take time for him to recruit players that suit his style of defense. Regardless of how frustrated we currently are, it will be a few more seasons before we have a well oiled defense.

We should be better in football.
Which Billy Gillespie player is still on the team? The only two Sadler players on the team are Jackson and Watts. He is far from literally playing with BGs or Docs players. 11 of the 13 scholarship players are his own recruits!!!!!! I'd hate to think about how crappy the team would be without Jackson.

In my post I said Coach Barbee is still playing with Gillespie's and Sadler's players in leadership roles. That would be Jackson and Watts. Jackson was recruited to UTEP and signed under Gillespie's coaching team. I also stated that Coach Barbee needs time for his players to develop. Except for Cooper, the majority of his players are sophmores or below. Nothing I said was off base.

BG's first season at Texas A&M was Stephon's last in high school. DJ and TWatt are not Gillespie's recruits at all. TWatt came here after DJ, a full 2 years after BG had left. They are not Gillespie's players, only Docs. Ask any knowledgeable UTEP basketball fan and they will tell you the same.

Kind of enjoy uTEP women's B-ball also. Face it-they went to the dance last year. They actually play a great uptempo game...with the freshman playing all the time and Hughes only a Junior this year, next year especially will be pretty awesome. Now, if they can get an aircraft carrier in the middle. Women's ball is not my usual thing but they are fun to watch.

Default Seniors

I don't think they have any seniors...so next year will be incredible.

That's good to hear Caltep and also they have those 2 super freshman guards i.e. Dietra Caldwell and Briana Green.

Kudos on calling Watts "twatt" and for the knowledgeable fan comments. Good stuff. Still, my point was that most of Barbee's players are sophomores or younger. You got me though, DJ was a Sadler recruit not a Gillespie recruit.

See ya at The Don on Saturday
