Hehe, I hear you about people driving crazy when there's bad weather out. I moved from chicago 2 yrs ago where people deal with it all the time. Around here, if it's not sunny out you're almost guaranteed to see wrecked cars on the side of the road.

When we lived in El Paso last year, it snowed around the Thanksgiving Holliday. The snow stuck around for about 2 days. These are the pix.

We got about a 1/2 of snow just up the road here in Alamogordo as it's beautiful but the roads are clear and dry ( No Ice !!) and the Sacramento mountains are covered with snow as that has to be great for Cloudcroft and Ruidoso Ski Resorts as i see Mt. Sierra Blanca (12.003 ft) covered with snow pack and the sky is as blue as can be.
How'd El Paso do??

Well we got some flurries but nothing stuck. I made sure to be out in it while I could because... knowing El Paso it would be gone by 10am if it had.

I got home yesterday at mid-afternoon, and took the shorter (distance-wise, anyway) route.....Pecos, Artesia, Cloudcroft....! Cloudcroft was a beehive of activity, and everybody was out playing in the snow! I love it up there other than for the idiot drivers who don't pay attention to what they're doing on narrow winding mountain roads.
My roof had snow on the northside, and there was one wide strip left in the backyard!
Dang!! Almost a White Christmas, but not quite!
I sure am glad to be home.

There was nothing but the thinnest layer of snow - or maybe it was the sleet that stayed on the grass overnight but only in the back of the house, nothing in the front.
That was probably it for our snow this year. Yeah!

Considering there's only 2 days left in the year, that's not hard to see.
