On the website of Thomason Hospital, under the construction page, it shows that they are going to put up a project web cam soon. Im guessing its going to show the construction progress of the new children's hospital and expansion. The groundbreaking for it should be real soon so I thought I'd point that out.

I think tomorrow is the day they officially break ground for the new childrens hospital even though I have not heard anything from the local media outlets lately.

I'm stoked about the new state of the art medical clinic that Thomason is building in Northeast as that's the first step to a hospital out there.

What's their problem with changing the hospital's name? I mean, why not call it R.E. Thomason Medical Center?

I think part of it is that they have a synergy with Texas Tech Medical School. Besides I really like the name change, it makes it sound more of a research institution as well. Something like Loma Linda University Hospital in Los Angeles.

Thomason now has a pretty cool Construction Cam set up on their website so you can follow the progress of the construction on the new childrens hospital and the rest of its expansion.
