I was curious as to whether El Paso allows smoking in bars?

Default A trend

It seems most cities of significant size now have smoking bans in restaurants and bars. Houston was one of the first. There is a bill that will be introduced this year, if it has not already been introduced, to ban smoking indoors in all of Texas, period.

For what it's worth, I don't smoke, and I hate smoke, but I do have a problem with the government telling me what I can, and cannot do. If a restaurant has smoking, then I can choose not to go there. Same with a bar.

BTW, there are exceptions, such as Pappas Steak House where one can light up a cigar anywhere in the restaurant. There also cigar bars in Houston, and these types of venues specifically promote cigars. It would be silly for someone who hates smoke to go to one of these places.
