I wouldn't be surprised if Castro gets less than 100 votes.

Based what I have seen and heard, all council members can expect re-election. Strange town, low turnout and low participation. The Mayor won, but by a very low number, even combining his and the opponet's, it was less than 50%. I believe he will lose, the odds are against him. The 9 million dollars shortfall, PSB, and the shortage of police officers and layoff of city employees will be his downfall.

Mrs Castro will win because she understand now is not a good time to tax and spend the city to death in the name of growth.

Let's meet back here after the election and compare notes on how the election turned out.

Check this out as a 4th person just filed to run against her. If she loses i'm throwing BIG party as she's the worst i've ever seen in El Paso since the 1970's. Man i wish Pat Haggerty was our Rep again.

6 ft, any predictions who and why they would take her seat? I know youre not one of her fans and just curious. I really see a complete re-election for all of them except Cook.

Luplor....you are exactly right about the power of the incumbency as she has that advantage and has a good chance to win re-election. However with 5 (so far) running it may create a runoff in which her opponent will get some much needed noriety with a runoff.

I always like to look at the mayors race as Mayor Joe Wardy had the incumbency, raised more money than cook, lead in the polls and even won the first round of votes however a runoff ensued and shockingly John Cook barely won and became our current mayor so there is hope.

That being said if she wins then she wins and life goes on and we continue to look out for dist 4 and hope the best for it.

I'm with Lupor - I think she'll be re-elected. I live in her district, am not a supporter, but voter apathy makes her a shoe-in. Now if Muhnay was staying around and running against her, who knows what would have happened.

I'm definately not voting for her. Hopefully people will go to the polls this year or at least enough to oust her.
