Some of these are not "things" but are the most impressive for me

1. Beautiful Sunsets
2. Awesome distant Lightning displays
3. The smell in the air after it rains
4. The westide view from the Franklins...Transmountain
5. The star on the Franklin Mtns. You can see it as far as Tornillo on I-10 west.

'Not sure you'll get many tourists if they all have to be there when it rains.

The bad thing about Carlsbad Caverns, Cloudcroft, Old Mesilla, White Sands, etc, is that they're not located in El Paso.
