Around July/August it can get pretty stuffy at night. Sometimes a simple breeze would cool at night. But when you have those nights that it's calm and hot, it's kind of uncomfortable. Right now....it's too cold at night for me. I still have to sleep under my plush Cowboys blanket and wear my flannels around the house. LOL!

Not really necessary. I prefer no air conditioner but I like to have a fan if there isn't much breeze but it depends on how much you like the outdoors.

It's easier if you adapt to the warmth because you can feel comfortable both inside and outside but it might depend a bit on how your house takes the heat. If you have big windows facing the SW or West, that could make a lot of heat. Trees in the yard make a difference, how much concrete around. Probably the part of town makes a difference, to me it feels hotter where the new construction is, especially East El Paso where it seems like a lot of concrete and not many trees.

If you're used to very hot and humid, you might think the heat here is nothing, it doesn't reach 100 degrees too often and you can generally subtract 15 degrees when comparing with a hot humid climate.
