Biggs vs Bliss
I wasn't aware that these were two different bases! We have discovered that DH will be working on Biggs. How much further/closer is Biggs to Horizon City than Bliss? How far are they from eachother? Are there different px's and commisarys on each? Sorry for all the questions this morning, but thanks in advance for any answers I might get!  |

They are not far from each other at all. Biggs is the airfield and is basically just "across the street" from Bliss. I'm not sure about the commissary and PX but I remember that there was at least a little shop on Biggs.

Biggs field is just over the bridge from main post.
We live in work on biggs field.
We have a school K-5TH. grade, playground,church, 2 stores, subway and a few other things here.
You have to go to main post to get to the PX. but we have been told that they will be building a px on biggs field.
When we 1st moved here a little over a year ago there was nothing out here but now this place is very busy!!
like I said housing is here for E-7 and up so there are a good number of people that live out here on biggs.

Biggs and Ft. Bliss are basically the same thing. Two Bridges over a street connect the two.
Biggs is just the airfield for Ft. Bliss.
The PX and Commisary are on the Ft. BLiss side, but I believe they are making another PX and Commissary on the Biggs side.

Biggs was a onetime airforce base in el paso i believe in the 50's and 60's but Bliss owns it now if i'm correct.

Biggs is pretty much now known as East Fort Bliss alot of new developments are going on. It is still Fort Bliss just divided by a main street.
