Depends on the starting point. Maybe Loop 375 to Transmountain, go to the Franklin State Park and do some hiking, head over to Doniphan and take the back way to Old Mesilla, through the pecan orchards, stop at Stahmanns and have pecan ice cream, shop in Old Mesilla and eat lunch at La Posta. Take Doniphan back and get on Paisano and follow the river, go through downtown, stop for lunch again in some downtown dive dine unless I already stopped at the historic La Hacienda. Or go the other directions and check out the old missions in San Elizario and Ysleta.

Or it depends on what somone wanted to see in this area. If they are from elsewhere and would have liked to go to Juarez, maybe if it was Sunday and there was a charreada going on, drive over to that and spend some time and some of the outdoor markets in the area.
