With regard to your truck, I have to say that I feel 100% safer parking at the malls in Las Cruces and El Paso than I ever felt parking in NY and/or NJ.
It certainly couldn't hurt to get a club (see link below), if only for your peace of mind, but, I don't see any need to be afraid to live your life as you see fit just because you bought a cool truck

Amazon.com: The Original Club Steering Wheel Lock - Red: Automotive

thanks for the link :-) That makes more sense than what I was imagining lol.

Others answered about the club. One thing -- you'll see lots of people with trucks. A lot of people will also tell you how they've had them stolen.

The more stuff you use to deter thieves the more likely you'll get to keep it.

Get "a club" -- steering wheel lock, brake - steering wheel lock and you'll slow down a thief, keep your doors locked always, windows up. A kill switch can help and there are other anti-theft devices - your insurance agent can probably advise you on what they think works best, maybe some give a discount for having those.

Little Diner in Canutillo for me. Tried Cabana and Tote once each...may have to try again b/c I was not overly impressed with either. My new thing is Real Burrito near UTEP.
