I have been working in the Redcats in El Paso for the last 2 years....I really don't know how they are going to do it, but they have been hiring a number of new people. Half our computers aren't working and half the phone systems don't work. I have no clue how they will handle the extra load. Also San Antonio has the Credit Division which we do not, so I'm not sure if we will end up with that too. Sorry to those who are being laid off.

Default El Paso already has a RedCats

Redcats isn't relocating to El Paso, the San Antonio site is just closing down. I work at the Redcats in El Paso, and we have been hiring new people, but half the computers don't work and half the phone systems are faulty, so who knows how this will pan out.
We got a notice that it was between closing El Paso or San Antonio and because the cost of maintaining San Antonio was higher that is why they decided on San Antonio. I was shocked because it could have easily been us in El Paso....Sorry to those of you who worked in the San Antonio Redcats.

The cost of maintaining San Antonio would have been the slightly higher labor costs.

I guess there's something to be said for being a low wage town, in this age of globalism and the search for ever cheaper labor, El Paso is a hot spot except that many jobs have left here for the same reason, they can find cheaper labor in Juarez or China.
